What’s a lobby card you ask? A lobby card is a landscape orientated mini poster printed on heavy stock featuring a scene from a film. The cards measured 11” x 14”.and were displayed in a theater’s lobby to promote current or upcoming movies. Lobby Cards were also issued in an 8” x 10” size known as mini lobby cards or Front of house cards in the UK. Lobby cards and Mini lobby cards usually came in sets of eight and were normally numbered. Lobby cards came about around 1910 and were common in theaters up until the mid 80’s.
